White, the cat

White, the cat sits
silent, waiting
claw caught the curb,
the railing
of the Great Bridge
beneath the umbrous sky
 of the lesser darkness
gaze out now across the City
silent in the cold wind
that flows
forever
over The City
of Darkness

The Great Bridge
has its source in Nothing
its terminus in Nowhere

She glows upon it
bright star fallen
from the starless sky

Above her
circle
winged night
black eyed
Huginn and Muninn
Thought and Memory

Above the Sea of Dreams
they swam the sky
above the water
wherein swim
what...

in the lesser
the two
a greater darkness
soar deathless
over the ridges and edges
knife sharp
of
The Mountains of Pain

Across the plain
the desert
unmarked
of grey dust

They perch now
curb claw caught
Huginn to the left
Muninn to the right
Dark, Light, Dark
A communion

upon The Street of Books
two men stand
swimming
in a sea of words
waiting for the key

In the Cathedral
Christs Cross hangs empty
above a blood stained altar

The universe hangs
in balance
